The surface holds a single image at distance and dissolves into individual objects up close. Color is set bead by bead. No two passes of the weave fall the same way, and the piece changes with the light in the room it occupies.

The work

Each row is strung and knotted by hand, then locked against the row before it. The structure carries its own weight. It hangs from a single rod and holds its shape without a frame.
